Well, we are back from exhibiting for the the first time at the National Sports Forum in Orlando, FL. Below is a picture of us at our booth — Ryan Cote on the left (Director of Marketing) and John Cote on the right (EVP and Co-Owner).
Overall, we thought it was a great show. For those of you that aren’t familiar with the National Sports Forum, it’s a collection of sports marketing executives and the vendors (like us) that help them with printing, signage, premiums, software, etc. Everyone gets together to learn and network.
Here are some highlights from the forum:
The sessions were great. A few really good ones on selling more game tickets. And we also sat through a valuable session on using content marketing for SEO and social media.
There were two really neat events. One was to the ESPN park where we got a tour of their facility including the Atlanta Braves’ practice field. And the last night was the gala at the Amway Center, which was absolutely amazing and state-of-the-art.
We got to meet a lot of nice people. From marketers at sports teams like the Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox and the Orlando Magic…to vendors with unique products like Hanlon Studio that sells life-size statues made out of iron.
And here’s another thing — this group knows how to have fun! The after parties were a blast. It’s a very social crowd. In fact, below is a picture of a confetti explosion during one of the cocktail hours in the exhibit hall.
And lastly, here are two panoramic pictures that we took. The first one is the exhibit hall. The second one is the Amway Center…if you look closely, you can see the tables in the center with the bluish hue…that’s where we sat and ate for the gala and there was actually ice under the carpet!
