Previous Control

This was Science Magazine's previous control package. It's a simple voucher which includes a form and BRE (the form measures 7 1/2 x 11). The front of the envelope has no copy other than the old logo design. The offer is 51 weekly issues of Science plus AAAS membership for $130.

Current Control

The voucher package above was redesigned and is now the current control. The package was increased to a #10 envelope with a larger window size. The form inside is consequently larger (8 1/2 x 11) with an updated look. In addition, "Time-Sensitive Material. Please Open At Once" and a new logo design is found on the front of the envelope. The offer is the same.

Science Magazine
Test Package

This is the new 6x9 test package with an eye-catching outer. The front shows the equivalent of a baby Einstein with the copy "Sign Me Up Baby!" The back features a collage of Science magazine covers with copy promoting the AAAS membership. Inside you'll find a letter, brochure, order card and BRE. The offer is the same- $130 for AAAS membership, which includes Science magazine.

Summary

Previously, Science Magazine was using a simple voucher package that included a form and BRE. They redesigned the voucher package and that became their control. Their current test package is now taking it to another level- a bigger 6x9 package featuring an eye-catching baby Einstein graphic with multiple components. It's a battle between a simple voucher package and a 6x9 package with an outer that stops you in your tracks. Complete results will be in very shortly. Email us if you're interested.
