While situations beyond our control certainly do contribute to some vendor turnover, we have a reputation for maintaining vendor and client relationships for long periods of time. Some of the steps we take to promote long-term vendor alliances are as follows:

 

  • Thorough check of their financial condition.
  • Initial inspection of the plant and meetings with their key people.
  • Whenever possible, we attempt to work with plants that have little to no representation in our market to minimize conflicts.
  • We are demanding but fair and good to work with.
  • We pay our bills very promptly, often within 20 days.
