2011 PIMA Conference Recap

Matt and I (Ryan) just got back from exhibiting at the PIMA Conference in beautiful Colorado Springs, CO. PIMA is the Professional Insurance Marketing Association. We are PIMA business partner members and this was Matt’s 2nd time exhibiting and my 1st time.

Here are a couple of pictures of us at the show. Thank you to Mike Wise for taking these pics.

Overall, we thought the show was great. It was a small conference of around 150-200 people and so we got to meet a good percentage of these people including other exhibitors.

The conference was set up perfectly because when the sessions were going on, they encouraged exhibitors to take a break to either attend the sessions or get caught up on work. Also, attendees were very good about interacting with exhibitors and I would say about a dozen thanked us for exhibiting.

Lastly, the one session we attended was really good. They had a panel of speakers and each speaker had 5 minutes to give their talk. Topics included marketing, leadership, social media, etc. It forced each speaker to condense their material into the most important takeaways and it was very effective.

What makes you different?

We got this question several times at our booth because there were a handful of other direct marketing companies exhibiting.

The answer is that we’re a production company. We don’t own equipment. As a result, we can (and do) produce a very wide variety of direct mail formats. We can also brainstorm with you if you’re looking to try a new format, but you’re not sure what’s press efficient.

Lastly, we do the best we can to offer aggressive pricing, but not at the expense of project support. We think our 32 verified client testimonials prove this.

Thanks for taking the time to read this blog post and we’ll see you either in February or at the MidYear conference.
