Video Correction:

The folded mailer that Matt is holding…we said the wafer seals on this particular piece are on the top, but they are in fact on the bottom…you’ll notice that when he’s pointing to the wafer seals on the top, the address block is upside down.

With this folded format, however, it doesn’t matter if the wafer seals are top or bottom…but we wanted to make this correction.

In your presentation you mentioned the dimensions of the slimjim. I believe that the new slimjim (letter-rate booklet) requirement for size (length) has been changed to 9.5″ maximum. Is that correct?

Hi Mark – there is talk about that becoming the maximum size, but it hasn’t got into affect yet. We just printed slimjim for a few clients very recently that are about 10.5″

Mailers are fighting this new size because it means resizing their artwork…and 9.5″ isn’t a very press efficient size.

Hope this helps.

This is very interesting. i have been thinking about using mailers for some time, due to work becoming scarcer here since the credit crunch. We have had good results from flyers in the past and if we can save more by using this model on doing even better mailers then it is all good.
Flyers are ok, but a magalog would help to show lots of products to our clients instead of a brief summary in text and tiny image form.
Thank you
